Comment on Camilles

I have to agree that there is a large amount of similarities between Kafka’s other pieces and The Trial. He uses the same writing style in all of the pieces that we read, as he is particularly elusive. Kafka writes one thing and then sends us a completely different way. However, the main thing that can be seen thorugh all of them is consistent themes. The one that popped out the most to me was the relationship between movie and The Trial. In the movie, there is a large base that is controlling society. Random acts are starting to occur (people begin to be missing all around the town). We learn that this is due to the fact that the castle is bringing them in for science experiments. This castle is very similar to the courthouse in the The Trial, both are very corrupt and the main character is slowly revealing this through his actions to figure out why these events are occurring. I think that as the book progresses, we are going to see that there are many more similarities between this book and Kafka (the movie). In fact, I bet that while they were making the movie, they used his books and stories as the basis for what message they wanted to portray.
